Established in 1996 in Beijing, China, Edifier has since become a prominent company in providing outstanding sound experiences through a wide variety of home sound, professional audio, automobile audio, headphones, and microphones for personal entertainment and professional use. Edifier lives by the principle “a passion for sound” over the past two decades.
The company is recognized worldwide where it has won plenty awards such as the “Red Dot Design Award”, “CES Design and Engineering Award”, “JUDPO Design award” (Japan Industrial Design Association Award) and the iF Design Award. Back in 2016, the company acquired STAX Ltd, who are famous for their static earphone brand. Jumping ahead to 2016, they then collaborated with the top U.S tablet headset brand Audeze LLC to further grow their global market strategy. Most recently, Edifier has won three times in 2022’s iF DESIGN AWARD for categories of Portable Bluetooth Speaker, Live Streaming Sound Equipment, and Microphone thanks to their MC500, MP500+ and MP100 respectively. Addition to that, Edifier is reported in many of the world’s top media sites such as Forbes, Yahoo, CNBC, CNET, and many more.
For the past 20 years, the company has progressed and implemented audio technology in international markets in more than 80 countries and regions which includes Germany, France, Italy, United States of America, Canada, Japan, Australia, and Mexico.
At CES 2022, Edifier succeeded in winning the Innovation Award Honoree category, thanks to the technologies that they’ve developed with the Edifier MP230 where the wood-frame bookshelf speaker offers unrivaled soundscapes whether in a dorm, living room, or even outside. The speaker is composed of two 48mm full range drivers with integrated double passive radiators and a wooden enclosure to provide rich audio while also reducing acoustic resonance.
Edifier boasts a global-based workforce, with distribution partners and resellers across the globe, as well as an established route to market network for successful sales around the world.
Aside from that, Edifier has committed in being a responsible business where they always seek to give back to society. Since 2006, Edifier has launched multiple scholarship programs, with a large portion of them being educational institutions. Fast forward to 2006, Edifier participated in the ROHS standard of green and environmental protection. In the following year, Edifier established the fund for hearing impaired children. The company continues to integrate their R&D achievements in the acoustic and audio field, giving support to the society.
