Edifier G5BT First Peek Product review December 2, 2022 First Look Edifier G5BT CAT comes with a premium packaging including a hard carrying case, a charging cable, a AUX cable and two cat ears. The headphones is designed with foldable hinge for compact fit in carrying case. reducing the size when traveling. The Connection Port There are one port located at the bottom of each side. on the Left side is a AUX input port to allow you connect the headphones with 3.5mm audio jack cable. on the Right side is a USB Type C charging port. The AUX cable provided is a 4 sectioned stereo cable. Which means you can use the mic in wired mode. one side is straight connector and another end is 90 degree angled for mobile phone use. The Buttons The power button and volume buttons are located on the Left side. The power button also function as a play/stop, Bluetooth pairing mode as well. There is a mic mute button located below these buttons. You can mute and unmute the mic with one press of button. The G button on the Right side allows you to change sound mode and RGB LED color. Long press this button to turn on/off the LED, double press to change the Lighting color and mode. single press to change sound mode. The Mic Featuring a retractable flexible mic. Easily pull out the mic when it is needed. push it back in when not using to reduce distraction. Dual Mic ENC mic product a distraction free conversation during gaming session. Built Quality The earpads are made of synthetic leather. Uses a wrap on design with a hook opening on the headphone, you can easily wrap the earpad on the hook and turn it to put it on. Hinge adjuster is reinforced with stainless steel for extra durability. The Aesthetic A circle shape and a crystal like LED at the front adding some RGB gaming feel to the headphones. The dual magnetic cat ears also trigger the top LED when it is attached. when it is removed the LED on the headbeam will auto turn off. When using without the ears the top LED won’t lit up your ceiling. Final Thoughts The Edifier G5BT is a high end premium gaming headphones built with very solid materials. G1500 First Peek Product review December 1, 2022 First Look The Edifier G1500 has a futuristic diagonal outlook design. There are 2 “Hecate” logo branding at the bottom front of both speakers. The front grill is made of metal and provide a great protection for the inner drivers and components. The diagonal slanted firing design for best close range sound effects. The Connection Wire At the back of the speakers there are few wire attached to it. the R speaker has 3 wires, a USB port, AUX, and another wire connecting to L speaker. The USB cable can use as audio streaming input as well as for power source. The AUX connector allows for AUX devices connection. The Interface 4 buttons are located on top right corner of the main (R) speaker: Power Button: long press to turn on/off, short press to change input mode + button: Increase volume – button: Decrease volume “G” button: double press to change light mode, short press to change between Game/Music/Movie mode. RGB lighting There are 2 RGB LED stripes on each speaker to add in aesthetic value to your gaming setup. Sound Quality Final Thoughts Edifier G1500 feature a vertical tower shape design. It minimizes your desktop space usage. The USB power reduces the need of power socket. you can directly connect to your PC USB port to function. However this will tradeoff some of the power and bass quality. With this power it is excellent to use as a desktop near field audio speaker.
